Ziment Associates

In designing a flexible work environment for Ziment Associates, a market-research firm in New York’s Flatiron District, the challenge was to differentiate private work space from the public areas reserved for clients, without compromising the sense of spatial continuity.

The layout ensures that every work station receives access to natural light and views to Fifth Avenue: a wall of manually operated steel-and-fiberglass pivoting screens can be closed to separate the lounge from the open office. Walls lined in tackable cork tiles create back-to-back conference roomsРa large one for client presentations and focus groups, and a smaller one equipped with pivoting doors that open directly into the main work area.
